Phil Whitehouse has successfully been involved in Financial Services for over 37 years having started his career with Leeds Permanent Building Society who were then acquired by Halifax plc. During this time, Phil held many Managerial positions including the running of mortgage and investment processing centres, intermediary development work and also running large retail sales and service teams. 

Phil was engaged by Pink Home Loans in 2001 with the remit to extend Pink’s panel of Packaged lenders as well as developing a Direct to Lender mortgage panel which then instigated Pink’s Mortgage Club offering. In addition Phil successfully set up a wide range of other income earning opportunities and developed the infrastructure for the successful promotion of this new offering to the intermediary market.

Phil was then recruited to Corporate Relationship Manager to control and manage the newly created proposition. In addition this included active involvement in various projects, including recruitment, training, educating & promoting a range of services to its Appointed Representatives and Directly Authorised customers.

In 2007 Phil joined SantanderUK as Head of The Mortgage Alliance (TMA Mortgage Club) and successfully led the organisation to profit during the ‘Banking Crisis’.

Under Phil’s direction, TMA grew it’s customer data base to c7,000 Directly Authorised members and then embarked upon a customer segmentation programme to maximise income from a focused group of customers.

TMA’s brand and marketing were changed as well as new materials including a Customer Relationship System and new Website.

TMA remains one of the leading Mortgage Clubs in the UK and was acquired from Santander by the LSL Group in July 2011.

Phil has a mass of experience gained through his high profile positions and is highly respected in the financial services market.

He has the Diploma in Management Studies gained through the Open University, HNC in Business Studies, he is a fellow of the Chartered Bankers Institute, fully CeMap qualified and also holds Commercial CeMap, Certificate in Regulated General Insurance and FISA qualified.
